Cookies

When services are provided,  they need to be easy to use, helpful and reliable.  When services are delivered on the internet, via computer, mobile phone or other device, small files of information, also known as cookies, are collected.

These pieces of information, although cannot be used to identify you personally, are able to improve the service by:

  1. Enabling recognition of your device, so that you do not have to give the same information several times during one task.
  2. Recognising that you may already have entered a user-name and/or password so not necessary to submit on every requested web page.
  3. Measuring how many people are using services, so they can be made easier to use and there is enough capacity to ensure they are fast.
  4. Analysing anonymised data to help understand how people interact with the services to make them better.
